Bath time..!

bathtime.JPG
Angus enjoyed his first bath at the hospital with just a little bit of help from dad.

We are at home!!!!

We welcomed Angus home on 30th August and he is starting to settle in. We keep reminding ourselves that he is only a few days old, very hard to imagine. We are totally in love and spend most of our time having cuddles, what more could you want?

Angus' first walk

first walk 2.JPG
Angus went for a walk with Mum and Dad for the first time on Thursday. We went around the block, quite slowly but very enjoyable. It was nice to get some sun.

Walking is pretty tough work

Not sure whether Angus knew he went for a walk, but he had fun anyway.

Father's Day

Father's Day.JPG
Happy Father's Day Ben!!!!!!! What a wonderful present. We are having a relaxing day at home, Ben is cooking a lamb and spinach curry and Angus is having lots of cuddles with his Dadda.

Our plan is working!!!

resting.JPG
We have started a new plan, to introduce little Angus to daylight hours so that we may have some sleep at night. What a quick learner, we are on to our second night and he slept from about 2.30am til 6.45am. What a little champ!!!

A big Thanks..!

Just a little message to say thanks!

Little Angus Jude has been

Little Angus Jude has been very busy this week getting used to his new routine, he really is doing well and we are getting some sleep, yay!!!!!! We spoke to a midwife today to just check on everything and she was very surprised to hear that Angus had already reached his birth weight within the first two weeks, I said "no, he overtook his birth weight last week". Who knows how much he weighs now, he is being weighed on Wednesday and we are expecting great things from our little feeding machine. Ben is at home for another week and a half and he keeps insisting that our goal is to rest. So far so good.

Go the Doggies..!

Elimination final.JPG
Yesterday, Angus and I got dressed up in our Western Bulldogs supporters gear and watched the 1st Elimination final where the Doggies smashed the Magpies. I had Angus in one hand and a footy in the other! Bring on next weekend and the West Coast Eagles - Go Dogs!

2 Week Weigh in..!

Today we went to the local Maternal and Child Health Centre for a check up. The main aim of this checkup is to weigh and measure Angus and also to check his hips and spine for how they are developing. It was a great day!
Angus has grown 6cm in length since he was first measured just an hour after birth, and he has also put on a heap of weight, tipping the scales at 4.655 kg - an increase of about 700g since he was born. His head circumference has also increased to 37 cm.

We expect him to be taller than his dad in 2 weeks for the next appointment..!

Playtime with Mumma

playtime with mumma.JPG
Angus is growing so fast and becoming more alert every day. He really enjoys having some play time after feeds!

Mumma's knackered

All the play time has taken it's toll on Alexi and I caught her taking a cat nap in front of the tele. Keep up the good work mumma, we're so proud of you!

I'm awake!!!!!!

awake.JPG
Angus has been having a bit of awake time. He just hangs out, listens to stories, gets carried around in his sling (which he loves!!) and likes to look at our faces. He moves his mouth when he watches us talk and pulls faces.

Enough of that, back to sleep.

yawn.JPG
Then he gets tired and yawns his head off!!!!! So do we!

Yep, Mum's hair is

mum and me.JPG
Yep, Mum's hair is all chopped off. So much easier. I think Angus likes it, doesn't seem to make a scrap of difference to him, yeah yeah, whatever, change my bum and give me food.

1 Month check up...

On Tuesday Angus had his one month check up, we found out that he's still growing lots, healthy and gorgeous - all of which we already knew of course;

Here are the numbers;
Height - 58.4 cm - 97th percentile
weight - 5.335 kg - 90th percentile.

The midwife asked if his dad was tall, to which Alexi responded with a resounding "NO!"...
